Friends and members of the Latin American and the world Port Community
The National Port Commission of Guatemala, as the organizing institution, is honored to host the XXI Latin American Congress of Ports, an annually event organized by the American Port Authorities Association (AAPA).
In order to promote a continuous improvement of international maritime trade, the event will provide an appropriate opportunity for dialogue, to update and trade between port authorities and services providers on issues related to these sector activities in the American Continent and the rest of the world.
For the development of such important and international class event, an emblematic city in our continent, was chosen; because of its historical and cultural value was declared a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1979: The City of Antigua Guatemala.
For this XXI edition, the main subject: “Present and Future of Latin American Ports in the Multimodal and Logistics Era”, will provide a current academic agenda, which will be developed with the support of international experts, who will share their experiences and knowledge with colleagues and friends of the AAPA.
As the organizing institution, the National Port Commission, celebrates your visit and gives you a warm welcome to the land of El Quetzal, birthplace of one of the oldest and living civilizations in the American Continent: The Maya Civilization; which celebrates in 2012 a new change in life cycle, important event of celebration for Guatemala and its rich and ancient culture that will dress up the archeological sites and ceremonial centers of mysticism and unique meanings in the world.
For the colleagues and the organization team, will be a pleasure to share the magic of the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. We invite you to join us from April 9th to April 12th , 2012 to share with other colleagues around the world, the experience of a united and dynamic port sector that constantly seeks excellence.
